The Auditor-General's Office (AGO) is an independent organ of state and the national auditor. Our mission is to audit and report to the President and Parliament on the proper accounting and use of public resources to enhance public accountcapability. AGO conducts various audits and our observations include system weaknesses, non-compliance with control procedures or legislation, and instances of excess, extravagance, or gross inefficiency leading to waste in the use of public funds and resources. We are seeking for candidates who possess good leadership abilities qualities, strong drive for achievements, excellent analytical abilities, communication and interpersonal expertise.
Responsibilities You will be part of the AGO Procurement & Contracts Audit Department and will assist the Group Director and Audit Director in carrying out audits of procurement, including development/construction projects, by the government ministries, statutory boards and other public entities to ascertain whether procurement was carried out in conformity with the principles, significant rules and guidelines. Your responsibilities will include performing risk assessment, developing detailed audit plans and executing the audits. If you are assigned managery tasks, you will also be involved in guiding the team(s) in carrying out the audits. You will review and monitor work progress to ensure timely completion of the audit and issue of management letters on audit findings.
Requirements a) Singaporean Citizen
b) Degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying or Project and Facilities Management
c) Minimum 3 years of significant practice in procurement, and/or contracts management/project management involving development/construction projects
d) Possess good knowledge and knowledge of government procurement policies, rules, guidelines, process and procedures
e) Familiarity with GeBIZ is preferred
f) Possess good analytical and interpersonal expertise
g) Possess strong verbal and written communication expertise
