The Wealth Planner is member of the Wealth Planning Singapore team and shall endeavour to fulfil the financial ambitions defined and outlined for the team by Head Wealth Planning Singapore. He/she shall ensure active risk management and meet all regulatory and internal compliance expectations relating to the role.
The role requires close working collaboration with Relationship Managers to provide clients/prospects with holistic wealth creation and preservation solutions that will help attract and anchor assets to the Bank. He/she shall drive comprehensive and innovative end-to-end wealth planning solutions that are tailored to individual client needs. The incumbent shall also build highly effective relationships across the Bank to maintain and improve knowledge of the business and its latest products and services to optimise service to clients.
The Wealth Planner reports to Head Wealth Planning Singapore.

YOUR CHALLENGE
People Management - Contribute to the strengthening of the team spirit and the fostering of a collaborative work environment
- Motivate and provide guidance/feedback to other team members to improve overall performance
Client Management (internal & external)
- Provide holistic and in-depth solutions to facilitate wealth creation and preservation (i.e. financial planning, wealth structuring, succession, retirement, relocation, philanthropy) that will help attract and anchor assets to the Bank
- Drive comprehensive and robust end-to-end wealth planning services/solutions (i.e. client counselling, proposals, fee negotiations, documentation drafting, client adoption formalities execution and handover) tailored to the individual needs of clients
- Handle new business enquiries by working flexibly with Wealth Planning specialists in other locations
- Regular consultation with Front representatives to be kept updated of clients’ needs/demands and take appropriate measures to fulfil them, where relevant
- Support Relationship Managers in Client meetings
Business Management
- Work to fulfil the financial ambitions of the team defined by Head Wealth Planning Singapore
- Regular review of the function’s practices to ensure efficiency and productivity are kept at optimal levels
- Monitor the products, services and markets of competitors, keeping abreast of developments and trends (regulatory and otherwise) that may influence the business
Compliance & Risk Management
- Meet all legal, regulatory and compliance standards/requirements
- Adhere to all relevant Local User Manuals
- Ensure extensive analysis and management to mitigate high commercial (fiduciary) risks
- Regular assessment of the function’s practices to mitigate associated risks arising out of and relating to the said function
- Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Professional and Technical
- Relevant higher educational and professional background with 8 years of relevant working experience
- Sound working knowledge and experience of advisory services for private clients within a law firm, fiduciary company accounting firm and/or private bank
- Strong technical credentials (legal/tax) and proficiency for professional client counselling and successful implementation of cross-border structures (trusts/foundations/companies/insurance structures and special finance transactions)
- Broad base of financial skills relation to tax and estate planning, financial planning, accounting, banking and investments
- Possess advanced professional qualifications, such as the following (or internally recognised equivalents):
- Legal background (university degree) and/or recognised international taxation qualification
- Postgraduate Law Course/Studies
- Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners
- Experience in pre-IPO trust structuring and structures to hold operating businesses, would be a distinct advantage
- Able to deal with ambiguity
- Represent the Bank’s and shareholders’ interests at all times
- Strong commercial judgement, business acumen and broad understanding of the financial market and products
- Strong working language skill and ability to communicate in Business Mandarin would be added advantage

- CACS Paper 1 and 2
