Job description: JOB DESCRIPTION The Senior Network Specialist will be responsible to work closely with application team in providing technical solutions and recommendations in find-tuning the company's application to optimize network performance. He/She needs to make sure that network performance will run smoothly in delivering application traffic over the network.

Job detail Job responsibilities: » Monitoring and generating network performance alarms relating to potential performance and capacity issues and report and remedy them before a real incident.
» Analyze network traffic to plan Network and monitoring tools for new projects. Assess Network Sniffer, Matrix and TAP requirements, to feed into the PE Tools Team.
» Provide consulting to the Performance Centre of Excellence (PCoE) risk assessment and application profiling process (Retail) to help decide on KPI's, thresholds and procedures for monitoring, alerting and reporting.
» Manage and monitor IPSLA probes relating to QoS classes
» Understand the performance impact of application moves using Predictive analysis tool.
» Increase network availcapability by proactively identifying potential risks to networks/services/applications and initiate appropriate levels of support and escalation.
» Develop new and improved processes around Performance Monitoring for existing and new technologies as introduced from time to time, e.g., Wireless, VOIP, VIDEO etc. Profile Requirements:
» 7-10 years practice in network performance analysis and protocols
» practice in network infrastructure, including routers, switches, LAN/WAN, network protocols, firewalls, DNS & DHCP services
» practice in network protocol analysis and network monitoring tools such as QoS
» practice in OPNET's application response time expert (ARX), Netscout's Performance Manager (PM) or NetOptics Xstreams will be an added advantage
» practice working in banking/financial industry would be an added advantage Job Offer
