Job description: JOB DESCRIPTION JOB PURPOSE
This strategic function will work across our organization, cross-functionally, with Finance, Customer Care, Supply Chain, Accounts, Product, Marketing and Information technology to lead, drive and develop a best in class business analytics function designed to deliver centralized standardized reporting, analytics, methodologies and tools across our APAC offices.
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in complex problem solving, capability to challenge assumptions, consider alternative perspectives, perform in high-stress situations, and operate well in a collaborative, multi-cultural and diverse environment.
The candidate must have a proven record of setting up and running centralized management information system / analytics team, preferably in a hub and spoke model.
this function is located in Singapore and responsible for the implementation and management of an inhouse-developed analytical and reporting roadmap across APAC, currently including but not limited to: Australia, China, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES » Optimize and transform current way of working into an efficient, cost-effective, transparent, collaborative, and forward-thinking environment that encourages an exchange of ideas located on the most up to date and accurate presentation of the business KPIs and metrics through proven best-in-class tools and methodologies.
» Understand regional and non-regional analytical requirements and drive a prosperous strategy for centralization.
» Present to senior-level audiences in a persuasive and effective manner, engaging senior executives in the development and execution of strategic initiatives, exhibiting robust business acumen and communication expertise.
» Establish and manage a centralized technical team of subject matter experts in what can be a very high paced environment, remaining calm under pressure, and maintaining team morale
» Develop quantitative analysis, data visualization and models to support business monitoring and decision making. Analysis areas might include (but not limited to): incident rates, average equipment costs, average claim costs, customer retention, lifetime value, program profitcapability, promotions, first pass yield, usage.
» Translate data insights into actions and recommendations that will drive customer practice and business profitcapability.
» Contribute to the development of a world class customer practice across a range of platforms by driving advanced, predictive and cognitive analytics solutions.
» Drive innovation and high-quality data visualization (charts, infographics, dashboards, lenses) and presentations to clearly and effectively communicate findings to internal stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS, practiceS, expertiseETS & PERSONAL COMPETENCIES
» BA/BS in Business Analytics, Business Administration, Finance / Accounting,, Quantitative Research or related fields preferred. Background in Computer science coupled with specific online training or training in the field of Data Science a plus.
» 8-10 years’ significant industry practice in data, analytics and business performance management.
» Excellent business and personal expertise and competencies in the below areas:
» Customer practice, communication and leadership abilities, personal effectiveness, delivery and execution.
» Intellectual curiosity is a must with strong proven execution capcapability.
» Tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

» Proven track record in developing and deploying data and analytics solutions on a large scale.
» Able to provide leadership abilities, coaching and technical guidance to team members.
» Essential to have a collaborative style and work in cross functional teams.
» Proven practice and demonstrated success in implementing and leading business analytics in an MNC setting

» broad technical background on the development and deployment of advanced analytics inclusive of Descriptive, Diagnostic, Predictive, Prescriptive & Cognitive analytics, Data mining and Forecasting techniques.
» practice and knowledge of analytical concepts, statistical techniques, data modelling, optimization and visualization.
» Working knowledge of SQL and practice extracting, manipulating and storing data accessed via various mechanisms. R / Python programming language hands-on practice a plus.
