Job description: JOB DESCRIPTION income $5000-7000 (basic)
Working hour :5 days week 9am-6pm
Our client is a US MNC in Laser optic Equipment
Summary: The Laser & Optical candidate will develop and improve manufacturing processes for the production of complex optical and laser systems within a fast paced manufacturing environment. The candidate will also apply engineering principles and troubleshooting skills to provide day-to-day technical support to active production lines.
This is a sustaining engineering position for released and newly introduced systems and subsystems. Resolving assembly and test issues is important in this position. The work encompasses failure analysis related to incorrect materials, unreliable or errant processes/equipment, and ranges from the new component level to analysis of field return units. Use for statistical process control (SPC) techniques is very important in this position.
Job :
- Develop and evaluate manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; and soliciting feedback from operators.
- Resolve everyday issues that impede fulfillment of production orders.
- Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
- Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; and validating manufacturing processes.
- Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Devise and submit ECO’s to refine processes and parts.
- Generate assembly process flows and work instructions.
- Calibrate and maintain test and production equipment.
- Effectively apply statistical process controls (SPC) to monitor, analyze, and define errant processes, and to refine processes to reduce varicapability.
- Define key parameters to be monitored located upon criticality to system performance. Where SPC indicates processes and performance are within the operating range, apply optical analysis tools, i.e. ZEMAX, to determine where a design element, test, or technique is incorrect.
- Train production and technician staff when a new laser or laser sub-system is introduced: Hinge from present knowledge and augment with the specifics for a given laser and laser rail.
- A ‘rail’ is a subsystem comprised of a laser, beam-forming optics, polarization components, and some means of power attenuation.
- Provide immediate response to technical issues on a system-by-system/rail-by-rail basis in the production environment.
- This is the highest level of integration for the laser rail.
- Plan and implement projects that apply a systematic approach to problem-solving for processes, newly manufactured laser systems, and field returns.
Requirements - Minimum Masters degree in laser, optic or electro-optical engineering or PHD in Laser or Optics without working experiece
- Candidates with practice in the manufacture of laser systems is highly desirable
- capability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Hands on practice with assembly and test of electro-mechanical and electro-optical systems.
- Detailed knowledge of solid state and amplified lasers
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Detailed knowledge of precision optics including lenses, polarization optics and retarders practice with beam propagation measurement using commercially available equipment, i.e. BeamScan, ModeMaster, Spiricon
- practice in using function generators and oscilloscopes
- practice or familiarity with SPC tools for process monitoring Demonstrable practice in the design of experiments (DOE) to analyze and resolve laser and optical issues
- capability to read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical wiring diagrams.
- Basic working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and of best practices i.e. ISO 9001
- capability to multi-task in support of multiple product lines simultaneously
All prosperous candidates can expect a very competitive remuneration package and a comprehensive range of benefits.
