Job description: JOB DESCRIPTION Responsibilities
- Managing a team of technical managers on site to ensure that all works comply fully with regulatory and client's requirements
- Work closely with our Project Management Team, Professional Engineers, Client, Contractors and local regulatory authorities so as to provide planning, design and supervision leadership abilities not only to deal with site problems, but also to ensure timely completion of the projects
- Responsible for implementing and sustaining the site supervision quality & safety assurance system
- Carry out supervision of civil/structural works and geo-technical works by identifying any non-conformance of contractor's works on site and working with the Project Team, Qualified Person (Supervision) and Contractors to rectify any non-conformance.
- Responsible for monitoring all geo-technical and instrumentation works on site to ensure compliance with design criteria and permissible tolerance of instrumentation movements as specified by the Qualified Person (Design).
- Well versed with local Building Regulations/Acts and Codes of Practice to ensure compliance with approved drawings and design.
- To carry out regular site checks on contractor’s temporary and permanent works to ensure compliance with health and work safety in conformity with MOM Regulations.
- Attend regular site progress meetings with the Project Team, Client, Contractors and local Agencies to resolve issues pertaining to structural and geotechnical matters.
- Ensure proper and up-to-date site documentation for on-going and completed works, site meetings, safety record, as built submissions etc.
Requirements - Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by BCA/IES/ACES, with minimum five (5) years of significant practice as a Civil Engineer, including minimum of two (2) years of significant practice handling and supervising civil/structural and/or geotechnical works.
- Has good working expertise of geotechnical and instrumentation works and compliance to local Building Regulations.
- Must be a registered and practising Resident Engineer for the past 3 years.
- Good analytical capability with strong verbal and written communication expertise.
