Position Overview Work closely with the Chief HR Officer to support the current and future needs of Sabio Group and all associated companies in the APAC region across all areas of HR such as employee relations, recruitment and resourcing, organisational development and design and all other areas covered within the Sabio Group People Team.
Work in partnership with allocated areas of the business to provide specialist support and influence that enable managers to effectively deliver their people plans. Provide a consultancy service that delivers HR best practice and commercially focused HR solutions that support the business area in conjunction with specialist HR functions.
Focus on key projects across the Sabio Group which will add value to the overall business through the annual plan as advised.
Key Responsibilities & Experience Required
Position the role of Business Partner as an integral part of the management team by developing effective working relationships, influencing, challenging the management team on their personal style and the development and delivery of their people plans in support of the achievement of the business area and HR strategies.
- Equip managers with appropriate tools and knowledge to effectively manage their people in line with their people plans e.g. performance management, absence management, career management.
- Provide support on the research, design and development of HR initiatives in support of the HR strategy, using expert knowledge.
- Work in partnership with the Group Head of Resourcing, to support proactive talent management and employee engagement.
- In association with the CHRO, monitor, interpret and implement all new and revised legislation relating to HR. Oversee the planning and implementation of changes required including developments to policy and procedure; ensuring that significant changes are communicated to employees and managers in the most appropriate manner.
- Work with Management to identify short, medium- and long-term resourcing issues. Build and maintain the people plans, co-ordinate with the development of the team with the Group Head of Resourcing in conjunction recruitment and retention strategies.
- Support the business area with direct support from the Group Head of Resourcing with the development of their people, providing advice, guidance and ad-hoc training on Personal Development Plans and work with the business area to establish and introduce systems that identify employees with high potential, develop career paths in consideration of key roles for succession planning and self-development.
- Maintain and provide front line, day to day guidance to all employees on matters relating all standard employment queries
- Support the CHRO and GHOR with other HR related tasks and projects.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to avoid duplication of effort and ensure harmonisation of approaches across the Sabio Group
Essential Knowledge and Experience:
- MCIPD professional qualification or working towards
- Excellent understanding of principles of employment law, HR procedures and best practice
- Proven skills in the use of IT packages for producing management information (spreadsheets and database reports) and general office use (email, web applications)
- High quality communication skills both oral and written
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to quickly establish and maintain good working relationships at all levels
- A proven ability to plan, prioritise and organise own work effectively in a busy environment
- Significant experience of providing generalist HR support and advice to managers and employees in a challenging and fast paced environment
- Experience of employee relations work e.g. supporting performance and absence management
- Appreciation of balancing process and business requirements
- Able to work proactively and flexibly, adapting to multiple and changing priorities
- Professional approach with the ability to act with diplomacy and discretion in sensitive situations
- Able to resolve non-complex problems with minimal guidance
