The Senior Quantity Surveyor Consultant will work closely with the Cost Manager and the junior Quantity Surveyors to deliver effective cost solutions for clients.
Key Roles and Responsibilities: - Assist in the reviewing of tender submissions and relevant qualifications
- Prepare tender documents, tender evaluation report and provide advice to clients about the award of tenders.
- Cost estimation and projection, as well as cost monitoring throughout the projects
- Represent the client in negotiating variation orders
- Verify the invoices and progress payment claims, and oversee the final settlement of accounts.
- Involved in contract documentation and preparation.
- Provide professional advice on any penalties and liquidated damages if necessary.
Requirements: - Minimum Degree in Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of Quantity Surveying experience, with a good mix of building projects in the public and private sector.
- Professional memberships and accreditations such as RICS and SISV will certainly put you in a good stead.
- Those with consultancy experience in Quantity Surveying will be preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills - able to represent clients in their best interests and able to negotiate with different stakeholders.
