Job description: JOB DESCRIPTION Responsibilities
- Drive and manage IQC operation.
- Monitor incoming quality for raw material and outsourced secondary processes (e.g., plating, passivation, deburring, heat treatment etc).
- Manage and maintain IMTE (Calibration/Verification).
- Perform MSA study for all the new products/existing equipment.
- Raise NCMR and contact with suppliers on quality issues from IQC, production or customers
- Follow up supplier disposition for quality rejects and make sure the CAPA (8D) response on timely manner.
- Perform on-site supplier visits for root cause analysis and verification of corrective actions of supplier quality issues.
- Track monthly supplier performance metrics and compile supplier score card periodically.
- Manage and develop suppliers, ensuring they are able to meet quality KPIs.
- Perform supplier audits for new supplier qualification (for secondary processes) located on the company’s requirements.
- Plan and conduct yearly / adhoc supplier process audits (for secondary process).
- Support customer audits at supplier site relating to supplier management area.
- Work with team to define process parameters and criteria to ensure supplier process capcapability is effective to meet product and process requirements.
- Support new product launches to ensure suppliers are capable of delivering to the required quality standards
- Ensure supplier compliance and assist with adherence to the company’s Quality Management System requirement.
- Understand customer drawing, participate in “design for manufacturing” specification to feedback value-added engineering proposal to customer and supplier for optimization of supplier manufacturing process and product.
- Work on customers’ complaints, respond with 8D replies using systematic root cause and make no reoccurrence.
- Work with cross functional teams to resolve operational quality issue which related to supplier.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ practice in managing Supplier Quality.
- Strong in mechanical expertise.
- Must have practice in managing suppliers preferably in plating, stamping and others secondary process (Electroplating, passivation, deburring, heat treatment & etc)
- Worked in automotive manufacturing environment, preferably in metal stamping.
- practice in conducting internal/external QMS audits & supplier audits as per automotive requirements.
- practice in data analysis and developing / tracking supplier metrics, score card etc.
- Familiar with 8D Discipline and Quality tools.
