Job description: JOB DESCRIPTION Our Client, one of the market leaders in the water treatment industry is now looking for a Legal & Compliance Counsel . The company is growing rapidly and the prosperous candidate can look forward to an attractive package with compensateing career.
function & Job responsibilities:
- Management of Group’s legal documentation which include drafting and negotiate agreements to support commercial activities.
- Coordinate execution of agreements and legalisation of documents with international colleagues and counterparties.
- Provision of legal support to business and operational units in preparing and/ or reviewing commercial agreements for standard and non- standard transactions.
- Provision of legal advice and guidance generally to business and support units
- Management of Group’s intellectual property and liaising with external legal advisers and patent attorneys
- Compliance with internal policies and legal risk management
- Conduct and organization of legal training to business and support units
- Partner with sales, product and compliance teams to resolve open contractual points
- Review terms and conditions, contracts and other legal instrument in order to safeguard the company’s interest.
- Any ad hoc legal and compliance matters
Requirements:
- Min 10 years of practical post qualification practice
- Sound knowledge of international law and legal concepts including commercial contracts, M&A, HSE, employment law, anti-trust laws, corporate and legal compliance, IP and litigation.
- practice in working with local and government authorities
- Familiar with funding organisation
- Water treatment industry practice will be an added advantage
