Job Description:
Reports to Commercial Manager (“CM”)
To develop and promote the Travel programmes. As well as all the client’s products to travellers
Sales and marketing will be done through digital and e-commerce channels, as well as existing B2B distribution network
Assist CM with establishing and developing annual business plans
Establish and enhance B2C e-commerce channels
Evaluate and appoint overseas agents to broaden distribution to customers
Train and groom new agents to sell products effectively
Monitor and support overseas offices and appointed agents to maximize traffic potential from their countries
Develop and implement creative ideas and marketing initiatives
Provide feedback on relevant market information and intelligence
Work with Product Department and Operations Department on improving product range, product quality and service levels
Assist Finance department on payment disputes with overseas stations
Lead and manage the sales and marketing team
Other related matters assigned by CM / GM
Qualifications:
University graduate with at least a Bachelor’s degree. Preference in business, ecommerce and/or travel / tourism areas
Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant management experience, some ecommerce experience in selling through digital channels is required
Good understanding and knowledge of the travel industry
Good working knowledge of PC, Internet and mobile applications
Demonstrated ability to plan and execute effective Sales and Marketing initiatives
Experience in using various marketing channels (e.g. print, radio, Internet, social media) and e-commerce tools to achieve desired sales outcomes
Other Information:
Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
Proficiency in other key languages like Mandarin will be useful
Ability to analyze large amounts of data and information, and to report concisely
Ability to research and synthesize information from various sources
Outstanding customer service skills and follow through
Demonstrated ability to manage internal and external relationships effectively
Able to learn fast and work independently with minimal supervision
Good negotiation and people skills
Able to lead, motivate and manage a team
Possess strong sense of responsibility, initiative and teamwork spirit
Willing to travel and work flexible hours where required
