Sales and marketing will be done through digital and e-commerce channels, as well as existing B2B distribution network. Assist CM with establishing and developing annual business plans Analyse revenue results and trends to proactively strategise and implement action plans to meet sales targets Provides sales and marketing reports to Commercial Manager on regular basis Budget for key sales and marketing activities throughout the year Review and fine-tune business plans in response to changes in the market Implement an effective business plan on a timely basis to meet sales targets and keep expenses within budget Establish and enhance B2C e-commerce channels Work with key stakeholders to sell and grow our products in various B2C channels. Work closely with stakeholders like E-Commerce and Merchandising Departments to effectively utilise e-commerce tools and platforms Work closely with other SIA units such as Brand & Marketing Department, IT Department and other vendors to create new or tap into existing e-commerce channels. Negotiate with existing partners or relevant trade partners to cross-sell on partners e-commerce platforms Evaluate and appoint overseas agents to broaden distribution to customers Coordinate with stations for appointment of suitable agents Secure alternative revenue streams including land and sea Monitor agent performance and make recommendations to the Commercial Manager on the appointments Train and groom the new agents to sell products effectively Broaden the sales and distribution of products globally using the airlines networks Monitor and support overseas offices and appointed agents to maximize traffic potential from their countries Communicate regularly with internal and external customers regarding available programmes Suggest and communicate creative ways of making use of products for customers needs Co-ordinate with stations and agents to implement effective sales and marketing campaigns Develop and implement creative ideas and marketing initiatives Conduct market research and survey stations and agents on their needs Plan and execute effective marketing campaigns to drive sales Monitor and review sales outcomes of these campaigns and fine-tune for more effective results Grow global sales of products Provide feedback on relevant market information and intelligence Participate actively in industry events where necessary Effectively network with other operators and suppliers Keep up to date with latest developments in the travel industry, especially on market trends and competitors activities, products and pricing, new players including OTAs and other B2B players. Make recommendations to Commercial Manager on how to respond effectively to any new threats and opportunities Ensure products remain competitive and attractive to end consumers Work with Product Department and Operations Department on improving product range, product quality and service levels Establish and maintain good working relationships with the Product and Operations Departments Communicate expectations and feedback from the field in relation to products and service levels from sales perspective Coordinate with Product and Operations to revamp products and services where necessary to meet customer needs and ensure accordance with market requirements Request for and analyse feedback from internal and external customers as part of regular review of relevance and effectiveness of products and services Monitor and review sales outcomes of the revamped products and services to make further improvements where needed Ensure Tradewinds products and services remain relevant and meet customers expectations Assist Finance department on payment disputes with overseas stations Monitor the aging debts of all appointed agents with the help of Finance department Escalate any payment disputes to the appropriate contacts in overseas stations and agents to settle debts promptly Take appropriate actions to alert and warn stations and agents of impending suspension if the agents persist in not paying up Monitor the suspension of errant agents until they settle their outstanding debts Monitor and review the credit limits extended to each appointed agent at least twice a year to minimize trading risks Ensure timely settlement of any payment disputes and minimize any trading risk exposure Lead and manage the sales and marketing team Delegate tasks to subordinates where appropriate Monitor the progress of work undertaken by subordinates Maintain high productivity through effective task distribution/delegation Ensure effective communications amongst the sales team Nurture and maintain good esprit de corps and staff morale Train and develop a strong, results-driven and cohesive sales team that can deliver effective results for the Company Requirement Bachelors degree, preference in business, ecommerce and/or travel/tourism areas. Min 3 years of relevant management experience, some ecommerce experience in selling through digital channels is required.
