Purpose of job: To support the division's efforts in developing our cultural precincts into attractive & sustainable enclaves that deliver authentic & differentiated visitor experiences, so as to generate tourism value for Singapore.
Main Responsibilities: The officer will be working closely with the precinct stakeholders and associations in developing initiatives to improve visitor experience as well as bring vibrancy to the precincts such as Chinatown, Little India, Kampong Glam, Katong/Joo Chiat etc. This could include seeding and activating immersive and interactive experiences such as tours and workshops, driving events and also sourcing for suitable product and souvenirs to enable a more engaging and deeper appreciation of our culture and heritage of the precincts. This is so as to work towards the end objective of deriving more tourism value through longer length of stay and higher expenditure from visitors.
The officer will also support the Arts Team in growing a strong pipeline of art experiences with tourism appeal which will positions Singapore as a vibrant arts city supporting destination awareness
The officer will work closely with our Marketing colleagues and Regional Officers to develop relevant content in order to facilitate the marketing of our arts and cultural events in the respective marketing channels, eg coordinate itineraries for media familiarisation trips for the key events and undertake logistics arrangements for any STB organised events e.g. media lunch, networking events, source and upload relevant content to our Tourism Information Hub.
Requirements : - At least 1 year's working experience
- Highly motivated individual with good interpersonal skills.
- Results-oriented
- Good communication and project management skills
- Precious experience or knowledge of the Arts and Creative sector
- Marketing experience
