Job description: JOB DESCRIPTION A*STAR Human Resource (HR) Division’s vision is to develop all staff to their fullest potential and to help them make significant contributions to the organisation and to Singapore. A*STAR HR aspires to provide valued HR services to attract, develop, motivate and retain the best talent to help A*STAR achieve its mission.
The HR Division comprises the Recruitment, Planning, Talent Management, Operations, Capcapability Development and HR Partner departments.
As part of the Recruitment team, you will be involved in key milestones of the recruitment operations such as:
» Review manpower requisitions and post openings on job portals and use significant social and professional networking sites;
» Develop a pool of candidates and review if candidates meet the requirements with Hiring Managers;
» Arrange interviews, maintain applicant and interview data;
» Perform significant background checks on potential hires;
» Prepare contracts and work passes;
» Lead or be a member of projects and process improvement initiatives;
» Utilizing social media in direct sourcing for talents; and
» Ensure work practices are in compliance with regulations (eg. TAFEP, FCF, PDPA) and A*STAR policies Requirements
» Education background in Human Resource or Business Administration with at least 2 years of significant practice in HR
» Good interpersonal and communication expertise
