Job description: JOB DESCRIPTION Reporting to the Senior Nurse (Medical) under Human Resource Department, the incumbent will be responsible in providing medical support to employees including first aid arrangement, primary care, medical benefits, emergency treatment, medical retrieval and evacuation
Job responsibilities: » Provides immediate medical consultations and nursing treatments i.e. injections, dressings and etc. for the ill and injured employees located on clinical processes, when required
» Provides medical counselling and travel health advices to employees going on business travels, recommending vaccinations and providing necessary referrals to panel doctor for vaccination updates and travel advice
» Handles all internal and external medical correspondences, covering patients’ queries, providing psychological support to resolve patients’ needs and preparing all payments for the medical facility
» Facilitates employee healthcare programme i.e.pre-employment check-up, routine check-up, chronic health management and performs clinical laboratory tests with employees
» Provides information to employees on occupational health and wellness related programmes, in-house Fitness Centre operations and other sports related programmes
» Manages ill health, discapability and case management programmes, advising personnel, HR and management/ managers on employee’s sickness absence, rehabilitation and return to work programme
» Maintains, updates and reports Occupational Health records, including: sick leave, injuries, medical cost, medical insurance, workman’s compensation, Occupational Health trends and statutory medical examination results to MOM
» Works closely with safety personnel to support compliance towards Occupational Health Programmes and objectives, as well as local, corporate and global regulatory requirements
» Provides support to compliance during audits through the preparation of reports from medical surveillance activities (i.e.observation, measurement, data analysis, and etc.)
» Manages and regularly inspects medical inventory and supplies, i.e.medicines, medical devices, supplements, first aid boxes, AED and etc., ensuring regulatory compliance with Health Sciences Authority
» Executes action plan for the gaps identified through audit programmes to ensure compliance, verifying regulatory and professional compliance with medical confidentiality and management of medical records
» Responds to emergency situations and renders first aid treatment and medical support assistance
» Attends to employee medical needs on-site or in the clinic or hospital during emergencies or when situation calls
» Provides support in various areas as required to promote cross-functional learning and development, balance team workload and enhance overall team productivity
Requirements: » Diploma in Nursing/ Health Science
» Registered with Singapore Nursing Board
» Valid AED & BCLS Certificate Licence
» 1 year practice as nurse preferably in Occupational Health Management
