As an Engineer of the Radiation Monitoring Section in the Radiation Protection and Nuclear Science Department, National Environment Agency, you will be responsible for the following:
» Support the development and running of dispersion models in the air and water environment
» Develop capcapability in performing dose assessment using the atmospheric dispersion models
» Gather data to support model simulation and validation for scenario studies and assessment
» Assist to execute impact assessment and technical reporting for projected scenario case studies
» Provide technical support to internal and external stakeholder teams
» Assist, as part of a team, in the upkeep of the radiation monitoring network for real-time input of monitoring data for dispersion modelling
» Participate in inter-disciplinary projects as required
Requirements » Degree in Civil/Environmental/Mechanical/Coastal Engineering, with at least 2 years of practice in plume dispersion modelling and impact assessment in the air and/or water environment
» Good computing expertise
» Good communication and interpersonal expertise
» Good analytical, writing and presentation expertise
» Able to work in a team and independently with minimal supervision
» Able to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines
» Able to adapt to changes and has a positive work attitude
