Job description: JOB DESCRIPTION Job responsibilities:
» You will process prescriptions which include registration of prescriptions, picking, labelling and dispencing of medications, ensuring their accuracy, quality and integrity, in compliance with medication safety practices.
» Screen prescriptions, clarify medication orders as needed and perform prescription interventions according to established guidelines.
» Provide appropriate counselling and information to patients and caregivers to aid their knowledge and compliance to medication therapy.
» Perform adhoc extemporaneous prepartions as part of dispensing
» Actively maintain inventory control of medications at dispensing stations and dispensing robots, which include ensuring sufficicent and accurate top ups, handling of re-works and proper storage.
» Handle inquiries related to medication supplies, drug related issues, product information, pharmacy services and general patient workflow
» Assist in closing counter
» Track and follow up on uncollected prescriptions and outstanding bills at day end.
» Maintain necessary records and statitics as required
» maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the department
» Implement quality and service excellence standards
Requirements: » Diploma in Pharmaceitical Sciences or Pharmacy Science, Certified Pharmacy Technician Course or equivalent.
» Prior working practice in a Pharmacy will be preferred
» Team player
» Good communication and interpersonal skills
» Organized and able to multi-task
- Diploma in Biomedical Science ( Pharmaceutical Sciences)
- Working practice in a Pharmacy will be an advantage
