Job description: JOB DESCRIPTION The laboratory executive will work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) and study team members to ensure the prosperous completion of the study on time. The principal function of the laboratory executive will be to work in general practices such as data collection, data entry and analysis.
Primary Responsibilities and tasks (80%)
» Assist to recruit, screen and follow-up on participants of the study, in strict adherence to the study protocol, Singapore Good Clinical Practice Guidelines and other applicable regulatory and ethical requirements.
» Handle entry and validation of study data, extraction of significant information from medical records, reporting of adverse events, maintenance of investigator files and other essential documentation.
» Coordinate scheduling and conduct of clinic visits/tests for study participants, as well as related finances and logistics.
» Coordinate scheduling and conduct of home visits for study participants, as well as related measurements (such as dust collection and measurement of humidity).
» Schedules study participant clinic visits and serves as the patient liaison to the PI and Co-investigators.
» Participates in the informed consent process by communicating clearly and openly with potential study patients about protocols open to enrolment.
» Completes documentation on each study visit and answers to data clarification requests in a timely manner.
» Coordinates with PIs to help ensure that clinical research and related activities are performed in conformity with Institutional Review Board and sponsoring agency policies and procedures.
Secondary Responsibilities and tasks (20%)
» Support in other functions such as general administration and literature review.
Qualification: The applicant should have:
» Degree/Diploma in Medical Science/Biomedical Science/Allied Healthcare
