JOB DESCRIPTION Covance is currently recruiting for medical technologist to join our global team in Singapore!

We are currently looking for a medical technologist for our expanding Genomics department.
As a medical technologist, you will
» Resolve technical specimen issues in preparation for analysis and specimen storage and routine and non-routine assay problems
» Ensure the validity of test results through the performance of established quality assurance and quality control procedures
» Perform experiments, as scheduled, for evaluation of new Calibrator and QC lots
» Receive, open and place in service all reagents and materials according to SOPs
» Perform testing, needed to ensure validity of material, prior to being placed into serviceRequirements:
» Bachelor’s degree in a bio-medical, physical, biological science or significant fields.
» 1 year of significant practice.
» Candidate with more practice will be considered for a more senior function.
» Strong pipetting expertise.
» Strong DNA/RNA extraction expertise.
» Strong PCR/RT-PCR expertise.
» Strong aseptic technique expertise.
» Comfortable working in shifts (Monday - Friday or Tuesday - Saturday rotating shifts).
» Sharing roster for weekends and public holidays in the team.
