Job description: JOB DESCRIPTION The Challenges
To be responsible for the provision of case management services for individuals suffering from early psychosis or high risk of developing psychosis. The prosperous candidate will be involved in the following areas:
Clinical
» Provide and coordinate continuity of inpatient and outpatient care from initial consultation through to recovery
» Conduct assessment of patients for medical, psychological, social, environmental, vocational and financial needs
» Formulate and develop psychosocial intervention plan with patient and / or caregiver
» Implement intervention plan and monitor patient's progress
» Review and evaluate effectiveness of intervention plan at appropriate juncture with patient and treating team
» Provide supportive therapy and psychoeducation to patient and caregiver
» Conduct risk assessment and management proficiently
» Work in close collaboration with multi-disciplinary team
Education » Assist in conducting education talks / training workshops
» Assist in consciousness raising events
Research » Conduct research ratings with patients and/or caregivers
Requirements » Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Occupational Therapy
» Working practice with individuals suffering from psychiatry disorder will be of added advantage
» Must be a team player with passion in patients' care, availability to learn, and able to contribute to the team

COMPANY OVERVIEW The Institute of Mental Health (IMH) is a 2,000-bed acute tertiary psychiatric hospital situated on a 23-hectare campus at Buangkok Green Medical Park. Set amidst serene surroundings, IMH offers a comprehensive range of psychiatric, rehabilitative and counselling services for children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly.
IMH’s tradition of care started in 1928. We were the first mental hospital in Singapore, starting with some 1,000 patients. Our treatment integrates evidence-located therapies, supported by the departments of clinical psychology, nursing, occupational therapy, and medical social work, to provide holistic care for our patients. IMH is equipped with modern facilities, with 50 wards for inpatients and seven Specialist Outpatient Clinics.
IMH also plays a key function in training the next generation of mental health professionals in Singapore. We train psychiatrists and mental health professionals through the NHG-AHPL Residency Programme for psychiatry and through collaborations with the local tertiary institutions.
