Job description: JOB DESCRIPTION Scientific agent, Ion Channel LKCMedicine-ICESing Corporate Laboratory (ICL2)
The appointed Scientific agent is required to assist in operation of of ICL2, a unique ion channel screening platform co-funded by LKCMedicine and its industry partner, ICESing Bioscience. ICL2 aims to become the regional service provider for high quality patch clamp analyses for cardiac safety assessment, pharmacology screening of ion channel modulators and ion channel research
Job responsibilities: » Perform cell culture maintenance and provide general support for the lab.
» Manage lab safety and inventory documentation.
» Perform administration and procurement tasks.
» Facilitate and coordinate research collaboration agreements, material transfer agreements and non-disclosure agreements with clients and legal department. Requirements:
» Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related discipline.
» Working practice in the laboratory (internship/final year project included) is essential.
» Fluent in written and spoken English with good communication skills are essential.

» practice in various aspects of administrative and procurement work-flow is desirable.
» practice in laboratory safety management and documentation is desirable.

COMPANY OVERVIEW The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine), a partnership between Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU) and Imperial College London (Imperial), is training a generation of doctors who will put patients at the centre of their exemplary medical care. The School’s primary clinical partner is the National Healthcare Group, a leader in public healthcare recognised for the quality of its medical skills, facilities and teaching. Named after local philanthropist Tan Sri Dato Lee Kong Chian, the School, which was officially opened by Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean on 28 August 2017, is a model for innovative medical education and a centre for transformative research.
Graduates of the five-year undergraduate medical degree programme that started in 2013 will have a strong knowledge of the scientific basis of medicine, along with interdisciplinary subjects including engineering, technology, business and the humanities. Its first doctors will graduate in 2018 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), awarded jointly by NTU Singapore and Imperial.
