Lead the news reporting team in curating and delivering good quality news content for NUS News, the University’s online news portal
Collaborate with photographers as well as social media and multimedia teams in reporting on university events, education, research and entrepreneurship programmes and initiatives
Develop story ideas, conduct in-person interviews, and write feature stories, profile pieces or news briefs that will feature the University in a fresh and engaging manner
Collaborate with other NUS entities in developing news stories for NUS News
Any other projects and duties as assigned by the Department
Qualifications Requirements At least 8 years of experience in news media, journalism, corporate communications or related areas
Excellent command of the English language, with strong writing and editing skills
Good interpersonal skills
Able to work independently and as a team
Highly organised and able to multi-task and work within tight deadlines
Good university degree in journalism, mass communications or related disciplines
Proficient in desktop publishing software, Microsoft Office and social media platforms
