Key responsibilities include nurturing and building relationships, managing events, devising and implementing creative and effective communication channels and developing affinity strategies to increase students and alumni participation in the polytechnic activities.
Responsibilities - Assist in creating meaningful student and alumni engagement initiatives, including the planning and execution of student and alumni programmes that will strengthen affinity to the polytechnic.
- Enhance student development and alumni engagement frameworks and programmes through formulating and implementing policies.
- Mentor and support student and alumni groups to create opportunities/platforms to increase participation in polytechnic activities.
- Support the operations of RP-wide events and identify opportunities for character development.
- Manage and analyse database systems to track both student and alumni engagement so as to recommend strategies for effective communication channels.
- Plan and lead students on local and overseas trips.
- Provide administrative, logistical and procurement support to the team.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job Requirements - At least 5 years of relevant working experience in an educational/corporate environment with experience in student and alumni relations or event management.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint), SharePoint, Desktop Publishing, Customer Relationship Management Systems and database programs.
- Experience in statistical analysis and dashboards would be an advantage (Tableau, etc).
- Proficiency in Adobe illustrator/Photoshop, and web applications (e.g. able to do HTML coding) would be an added advantage.
- A team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to network and communicate well (both written and verbal) with stakeholders at all levels.
- Good work ethics, well-organised and possess excellent project/ event management skills.
- Agile, keen eye for details and ability to work independently across varied tasks with tight deadlines is essential.
- Highly driven and enjoy working with youths.
