Responsibilities - Conducting in-depth analysis of macro and market conditions for China equity markets, including HK listed Chinese companies, A-shares and ADRs.
- Analyzing macro and industry policy changes and their market, sector and stock implications.
- Developing and maintaining databases and models to forecast industry trend, market earnings, and to predict market direction and suggest sector preferences.
- Drafting, and potentially independently publishing, research reports on the above topics.
- Handling client requests, presenting in internal meetings and to external institutional clients.
- Training and supervising junior analysts within the team.
Requirements - A minimum of 5-years of research related experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Bloomberg, CEIC and WIND databases and outstanding quantitative skills.
- Deep understanding of macro & micro economics; extensive China knowledge, including on politics, economics, and industry policies.
- English writing skill essential.
- A wide contact network in China, a plus.
