Responsibilities Joining the Communications Division of the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF), you will be part of a dynamic team that drives strategic communications and research for the Ministry to effectively inform and connect with our stakeholders.
Specifically, you will:
- Evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies with a data driven approach;
- Strengthen communications and engagement capabilities of MSF, explore new methods and tools to enhance capabilities for delivery of internal and external communications and engagement;
- Collect stakeholder sentiments from different data sources such as admin data, polls, social media, structured and unstructured data;
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative statistical analysis to provide new insights to inform policy, communications and engagements interventions;
- Project and analyse trends pertaining to MSF's areas of work;
- Develop timely research reports, formulate strategies to influence public opinion where needed and facilitate management discussions on longer term strategic issues.
Competencies Required Functional/Technical Competencies - Tertiary education in Humanities, Statistics, Psychology or Economics-related disciplines preferred
- Good understanding of social/ consumer/behavioural research methods using qualitative and quantitative approaches
- Good knowledge of statistical or data analysis software such as Statistical Analysis System, R and Python
- Excellent strategic thinking, analytical and conceptualisation abilities
- Able to solve analytics problems using quantitative approaches
