Position Description

The role will be part of the Global Transaction Services Technology (GTST) APAC team. GTST is a technology service delivery organization supporting the Global Banking and Markets business in Asia Pacific for Bank of America.

Bank of America is embarking on a multi-year core banking transformation journey to replace legacy core banking platform with modern technology platforms. As part of the core banking platform transformation, bank will seek opportunities to revamp & improve the end to end bank’s ecosystem to improve operational & technological efficiency. The core banking platforms support multiple functions in Global Banking and Markets business: e.g. payments, deposits, credit, trade finance, foreign exchange, general ledger.

Reg reporting technical delivery lead will be part of the core banking transformation program. This role will have direct accountability of reg reporting solution. The successful candidate will liaise closely with the technical leads of the other works-streams (e.g. Payments, Trade finance, DDA, etc.) under the core banking transformation program to deliver end-to end solutions that meet both Enterprise Data Standards as well as the local regulatory requirements. Additional duties will encompass supporting the NFRR (Non-Financial Regulatory Reporting) initiative.

The role is required to work closely with Business, Operations, Vendor Management, Procurement, Vendor partners and various service providers, control partners and stakeholders in Technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of the regulatory reporting solution, including successful integration of the solution with bank systems.
• Leverage domain and technical expertise to set direction and drive project execution. Foresee and proactively address risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Work with business, operations, internal technology teams, and with vendor partners to ensure successful project delivery.
• Act as the primary liaison between the vendor and internal technology teams.
• Manage stakeholder expectations with respect to scope, deliverables, and timelines.

Key Requirements

Essential Skills (Technical / Business Domain / Managerial/ Soft skills)

• Experienced and dynamic leader with minimum 12 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and adapt to changing circumstances
• Ability to influence, negotiate, coordinate across silos, and drive to positive results
• Collaborates effectively to get things done, building and nurturing strong relationships, and resolving conflicts constructively
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage delivery of complex technology projects in a matrix organization.
• Strong knowledge in modern application architecture and language (J2EE) as well as latest ETL tool and will able to contribute to discuss technical design with Vendor and be able to advise best practices in technical design
• Strong technology delivery capability and leadership from strategy alignment, solution design, E2E program/project delivery to problem solving.
• Sound knowledge of the Transaction Banking domain: e.g. deposits, payments, receivables, liquidity management, trade finance, commercial loans, credit management, FX.
• Proven experience in regulatory reporting domain.
• Experience working with product and service vendors, and with the onshore-offshore delivery model.
• Ability to drive senior level discussions with excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Execution and result oriented. Aptitude for critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making.
• Proven experience of delivery in a time critical and pressure environment.
• Develop, maintain, and report on overall plan to senior stakeholders.

• Stay abreast of latest technology and industry trends. Be the change agent to influence and drive transformation: e.g. DevOps, Agile development.
• Multi-lingual (Bahasa and/or Mandarin) advantageous.
