Job Purpose As part of the Programme Management Office team to achieve the following objectives:
- Act as a driver to deliver projects and strategic initiatives within Programme Management Office.
- Responsible for monitoring and tracking of IT projects from various portfolios to ensure proper project delivery.
- Act as the liaison between IT Management and Project Managers in tracking the status of IT projects and initiatives.
- Provide guidance to project managers on the Project Management Guidelines and policies.
- Work towards project management process improvement.
Job Description - • Manage and oversee multiple strategic initiatives implementation in terms of schedule, scope, resource, budget to ensure successful delivery.
- Manage project delivery from initiation to closure as per GE’s Process and Methodology.
- Spearhead the exploration of a new project and resource management tool for Group IT.
- Ensure IT project reviews are regularly and effectively conducted to drive the monitor and control of the delivery of projects to the agreed quality level in terms of scope, schedule, and budget.
- Coordinate and track IT projects from initiation to project closure for both new systems and enhancements to ensure delivery to timing deadlines, cost and quality.
- Perform phase gate conformance checks on the deliverable documents required at the end of each project phase to certify the level of comprehensiveness and accuracy is maintained.
- Understand properly the various project backgrounds, technologies and purpose to make appropriate recommendations on the deliverables required for each project.
- Collaborate with teams internal and external of IT to ensure that proper tracking and control is performed on the projects.
- Report and escalate to management as per escalation matrix, if there is any non-compliance by the project team.
- Identify processes, activities and deliverables to work towards streamlining project management policies for seamless project delivery.
- Consolidate and generate IT portfolio dashboards and reports to the Management and internal IT forums.
- Perform resource management for Group IT and assist in preparation for resource utilisation reports.
- Assist team or drive Group IT workshops and events facilitation.
Job Requirements Our Requirements - • Diploma/ Degree level in a IT/Management discipline or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years working experience in the related field (Project Management background and experience is preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; meticulous.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team player – including the ability to work with internal resources/ external parties in multiple countries.
- Strong skills and knowledge in portfolio and project management specifically in the SDLC and Agile methodology (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
- Ability to multitask and work independently.
- Ability to grasp and adapt new concepts quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to clearly and concisely articulate issue findings and facilitate resolution of issue.
- Experience or knowledge on Resource Management will be an advantage.
