Global Supply Alliance - Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE)
Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) works across ResMed and suppliers, to ensure the suppliers deliver quality products and services to ResMed on time. The SQE leads issue investigation activities for supplied component or raw material issues, in collaboration with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance and Product Development. The SQE is in charge of agreed corrective and preventive actions in order to improve the quality performance of our suppliers. This position must ensure that these activities are accomplished in compliance with applicable regulatory standards and company quality objectives.
Let's talk about this position and you:
We are seeking applications for Supplier Quality Engineers (at mid to senior levels), this position will be based in Loyang (Singapore) and will be reporting to Supplier Quality Engineering Manager based in Singapore. The Senior Supplier Quality Engineer/Engineer will build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with our new and existing suppliers, business groups to promote the smooth introduction of new products and manufacturing processes.
To be successful in this role, you will
- Work with cross functional teams to resolve supplier quality issues in a timely and systematic fashion.
- Identify supplier related problems and opportunities. Perform problem solving, root-cause investigation and liaise with Supplier Development Engineer to improve supplier performance.
- Timely communication of issues that affect supplier quality and delivery capability to the relevant stakeholders across the organization.
- Support supplier audit activities and assess process capability as required.
- Ensure thorough knowledge of ResMed's Quality system to work within established policies and procedures, compliance with GMP, regulatory requirements and other business systems.
- Develop Engineering skills in order to lead problem solving activities for the technologies being used in ResMed's products.
- Provide technical leadership, support and guidance to Supplier Quality Engineers
- Continually develop industry knowledge to assist in development and sharing of best practice
- Maintain lessons learned from various investigations to assist in development and sharing of best practice.
- Other duties as assigned and required.
To really get us excited, you should have Degree qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with 5+ years' experience especially in engineering processes and tools in manufacturing environments. Preferable if you have training & experience in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Kepner-Tregoe and APQP tools & methodologies and experience in operating within highly regulated industry - preferably medical device industry. Strong understanding of ISO 13485 Quality standards/regulations. Proven experience in applying new engineering approaches and techniques to high volume manufacturing. Prior engineering experience working in a product development or manufacturing role or in medical device industry will be an added advantage. This position will require ability to travel for up to 25% of time.
