Responsibilities - Manage intellectual property (IP) portfolio arising from the R&D effort conducted
- Perform prior art searches and hold discussions with AIC Project Leads on patent landscape and patent maps
- Advise on invention disclosure and protection/ patentability of IP developed
- Advise on patent strategy and assist in drafting patent specification draft
- Work with Centre Director to liaise between AIC Project Leads and patent attorney on patent filing and prosecution matters
- Assist in the drafting of patent documents and project agreements and other Memorandum or Letters of Understanding in consultation with Centre Director and Legal Advisor if needed
- Assist in licensing and commercialization of IP and help in business development activities
- Assist in recommending funding schemes for aquaculture enterprises to do project collaboration with AIC
- Assist in technology identification, marketing and translation
- Seek opportunities to adopt emerging technologies that would be useful for AIC's planning of new initiatives or for capability building
Prerequisites - Relevant experience in Life Sciences with at least 3 years of related experience
- Graduate Certificate in IP and Master of Science in IP Management will be advantageous
- Has an extensive amount of practical knowledge on a range of IP processes and procedures
- Good time management, ability to multi-task and prioritise work
- Strong in organisational and analytical skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skill
