The Director, Head of Supply Chain and Customer Care (Asia Pacific excluding Japan) provides leadership and direction for QIAGEN's Asia Pacific regional Supply Chain and Customer Care managenent. This is including regional procurement, inventory forecasting/management, warehouse operations, transportation coordination, international trade/transport compliance requirements & Customer Care in the regions . Through a matrix structure, this position will interface directly with all QIAGEN regional and corporate team members to achieve operational, financial, and service expectations. As a direct report to the Global Vice President SCM/CC and Strategic Partner Management, this position is a member of the Global Supply Chain and Strategic Partner Management Leadership Team as well as the APAC Management Council. This position's primary responsibilities are to assist in the development and execution of the APAC's regional supply chain / customer care and represent all regional supply chain through the Global Supply Chain Organization. This position will be located in Singapore.
Accountabilities: - Serve as QIAGEN's primary APAC (excluding Japan) regional supply chain contact person while providing internal and external support in matters related to QIAGEN's APAC's regional procurement, inventory management, warehouseing operations, transportation management and as liason for trade/transport compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the Customer Care Organization (Order to Cash) in APAC Region (excluding Japan).
- Facilitate and promote regulatory information transfer from Global RA and relevant stakeholders to align with GSCM prioritization / planning with Comerical Operations.
- Build robust collaborative working relationships with all internal stakeholders and external service providers with close coordination to the global and Regional Commercial Operations & Marketing Teams.
- Liaise with Regional Commerical Operations, Quality, Regulatory for development and execution of an APAC strategy roadmap, maximizing and balancing regulatory and supply needs in the region and enabling, prioritization of change management activities.
- Enhance, monitor, and take corrective actions in support of regional key supply chain performance indicators (KPIs) in alignment with the global SCM organization.
- Support supply chain budget planning, performance, and accountability.
- Provide operational leadership oversite to all QIAGEN managed regional warehouse operations.
- Ensure compliance to QIAGEN's operational processes & policies.
- Provide conformity to established international trade regulations and procedures.
- Support all supply chain operations analysis and project requirements and provide opportunities for continuous improvement that are synchronized throughout the Global Supply Chain Management Leadership Team.
- Assist in the development of low cost country sourcing capabilities as assigned.
- Provide direction and guidance to support staff including training and development.
Position Requirements - Bachelor or Masters degree in logistics engineering, supply chain management or related experience.
- Strong and proven APAC SCM experience with a minimum of 5 years interface into global supply chain operations.
- Experience in life science, biotechnology, medical products, and/or other regulated environments is an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years related experience in working in interdisciplinary teams and global corporation, and supervision experience of 20 or more employees.
- Strong experience in Import, Export, Trade Compliance logistics, Dangerous Good (IATA/ADR/IMO), TQM & GMP, cold chain management, project management, strong understanding of trade compliance and understanding of the logistics of regulated products.
- Ability to develop, analyze, and apply data to make decisions in alignment to meet service expectations while consistently achieving operational requirements.
- Experienced in warehouse and transportation interaction, efficiency enhancement, procurement operations, strategic sourcing methodolodies with low cost country sourcing, SAP (preffereably APO) application.
- Strong knowledge of internal and external operations that influence forecasting, inventory management, warehouse operations and transportation services.
- Strong analytical, organization, and problem solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with an ability to communicate processes, timelines and schedules clearly, partner management and negotiation skills.
- APAC (excluding Japan) Regional and Global travel required 25% to 50% of the time.
