Job description: JOB DESCRIPTION Job DescriptionReporting to the Director of Pedagogy, the function of the Edtech Pedagogue is to support the development and maintenance of an approach to integrating technology into pedagogical approaches across our schools (Preschool, Primary, Secondary) which supports and enhances our ‘image of a child’. (Curious, Communicative, Capable, Confident, Respected) Job function & Responsibilities
» Participate in the development and continuing support of the Edtech program (which supports our image of child) across the group of schools
» Facilitate/participate in collaborative meetings and practices to develop the written and taught curriculum in relation to the effective use of Edtech
» To practice open and respectful channels of communication with colleagues at all times
» Classroom observation and teacher feedback in relation to the effective use of EdTech
» To support the schools Senior leadership abilities Team, (Principal, Curriculum Coordinator, Senior Mandarin Teacher), in developing each member of the schools teaching teams by:-
» Building an knowledge of how to effectively integrate the use EdTech into the written curriculum of the school
» Supporting the establishment of professional learning goals for teaching teams and individuals in our school
» Mentoring senior teachers and leaders in the effective use of EdTech
» Collating exemplars of observations, documentation and planning to share with the Pedagogy Team
» Participating in dialogue sessions/curriculum meetings to support and extend knowledge and practice of appropriate use of EdTech
»Support the capacity development of EtonHouse educators:
» To identify and propose resources (as part of the budget process) which enhance curriculum delivery and capacity development in EdTech (in consultation with the school’s Senior leadership abilities Team
» To organise with the school’s Senior leadership abilities Team an annual schedule of proposed capacity development opportunities (topics; venues; timing). This must be developed in consultation with the Pedagogy team to ensure that professional learning sessions across English and Mandarin teaching teams are cohesive and that dates for various sessions do not overlap
» To design and develop workshop sessions for EtonHouse teachers in Singapore and overseas e.g. Induction Programmes, Professional Development
»Written reporting:
» To maintain written progress reports (reporting to established goals) for each centre visitedQualifications
» Degree in teaching or equivalent
» Knowledge of and practice in one or more of the following: Reggio Emilia, IB PYP & Diploma Program, Key Stages, IGCSE
» Bilingual in both Mandarin and English would be an added advantage
» knowledge /knowledge of inquiry, project and/or global perspectives located approaches
» At least 3 years of teaching practice in an international school setting
