Sales & Marketing Department
Reporting to: Director of Sales & Marketing
Senior Catering Sales Manager is responsible for developing market segments and soliciting new customers to purchase food and beverage and utilize event facilities in the hotel continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitcapability.
tasks & Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Director of Sales to establish clear, identifiable and achievable sales targets
- Identify key market segments and implement strategies for each market segment for revenue growth
- Conduct market research and competitor surveys
- Establish and maintain a filing system on major active accounts
- Maintain a high level of exposure for the hotel in major areas through direct sales solicitation, telephone, fax, contact and written communication
- Arrange familiarisation / site inspection trips to hotel by major clients
- Prepare everyday and other reports required
Qualifications & practice
- Diploma in Sales & Marketing or equivalent
- Fluent in Microsoft Office
- Minimum of 5 year sales practice required, preferably in a hotel capacity
- Previous practice in a hotel or customer service function preferred
Key Competencies - Strong organization and computer expertise required
- Must be able to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks
- Must be outgoing and a proven self-starter
- Able to work under pressure
- Able to communicate fluently
