Job description: JOB DESCRIPTION Job Job responsibilities:
» Undertake the analysis on pre-race and post-race equine specimens for presence of prohibited substances
» Coordinate and ensure that the weekly analysis of equine specimens are appropriately completed and accurately reported
» Undertake the development and validation of new methods to ensure that the methodology and analysis meets requirements
» Ensure laboratory equipments are adequately serviced and maintained
» Ensure the Laboratory meets the requirements set by ISO 17025 and SAC-SINGLAS
Job Requirements: » Degree in Science, majoring in Chemistry (Organic or Analytical preferred)
» Minimum 3 years practice as advanced user of hands-on mass spectrometry
» Must be able to carry out routine maintenance and conduct troubleshooting on the MS instruments and LC systems
» Possess good fine motor expertise and trained to operate a mass spectrometer
» 5-day work week, able to work on weekday nights and weekends including public holidays when rostered
