» The job of a Maître D/Head Host/Hostess is very important to the smooth running of the restaurant.A Maître D/Head host/hostess is the person who manages the operations of the hostess team.
» The function is essential to ensure that our guests get the most out of their dining practice. Information technology is their duty to ensure that guests are welcomed in a professional manner with etiquette and sophistication.
» A Maître D/Head host/hostess should be smart, enthusiastic and polite at all times and have excellent organisation expertise.
» The Maître D/ Head host/hostess will present key information to the team regarding guest requirements and VIPs at the Pre Service Meeting. tasks and Job responsibilities:
» To meet and greet guest in a way that makes them feel special
» To assist in taking the coats and bags of each guest and issuing the guest with a safety ticket
» Have a disciplined approach to table return times and communicating effectively with the host/hostess team to ensure tables turnovers run smoothly and efficiently
» Answer the telephone in a polite and professional manner and deal with any telephone reservations/enquiries efficiently
» To escort guests to their table in an elegant and professional manner
» To ensure company’s procedures and standards are maintained to ensure consistent delivery of service
» To serve F&B customers in a way that makes them feel special
» Ensure reservation are taken in conformity with the restaurant's standards
» To check and maintain reservations for the restaurant including corresponding and follow up on all reservations and enquiries for the restaurant and bar
» To maintain and display in-depth Food and Beverage expertise consistently, in order to WOW the guest and promote sales
» Works closely with the Restaurant and Bar Manager, Head Barman/Waiter/ess and Restaurant Owners to achieve success indicators and perform effectively in areas of responsibility
» Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork to provide excellent guest service Key Requirements
» Is able to use Information technology applications
» practice with online booking channels
» Food & beverage product
» Excellent local area consciousness
» Good command of the English language (other languages an advantage)
» Confident capability to communicate and establish rapport
» Has expertise of technical service expertise
» capability to use significant e-mail and MS office practice:
» Waiteress: 2 years (Preferred)
» Food And Beverage: 2 years (Preferred)
