Job description: JOB DESCRIPTION Catering Sales Manager (Wedding)
Sales & Marketing Department
Reporting to: Director of Sales & Marketing
Position Summary Catering Sales Manager is responsible for providing high quality service to all guests, maintaining present contacts and establishing new contacts. To coordinate with clients, suppliers and all departments within the hotel on details to ensure smooth running of events. Ensure maximization of Banquet function room use and that Banquet Sales Team to meet monthly sales target.
tasks & Responsibilities
- Work closely with the adjunct Director of Catering Sales to establish clear, identifiable and achievable sales targets
- Identify key market segments and implement strategies for each market segment for revenue growth;
- Establish new accounts for the Hotel
- Maintaining and Servicing past accounts for the Hotel
- Conduct market research and competitor surveys
- Establish and maintain a filing system on major active accounts
- Maintain a high level of exposure for the hotel in major areas through direct sales solicitation, telephone, fax, contact and written communication
- Arrange familiarisation / site inspection trips to hotel by major clients
- Prepare everyday and other reports required
Qualifications & practice
- Diploma in Sales & Marketing or equivalent
- Fluent in Microsoft Office• Minimum of 3 years of sales practice required, preferably in a hotel capacity
- Previous practice in a hotel or customer service function preferred
Key Competencies - Strong organization and computer expertise required
- Must be able to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks
- Must be outgoing and a proven self-starter
- Able to work under pressure
- Able to communicate fluently
