Executive, Estate Management (Islands) / 1 year project contract
You will be part of a team responsible for the operations and maintenance of building facilities and mechanical & electrical systems (M&E) at offshore islands, including maintenance of water pipelines, pumps and storage systems, substation, diesel-run generators, fire safety panel, sewage treatment plants and septic tanks, vacant buildings and structures, jetties and coastal structures, land and greenery. The team also organizes a yearly heritage/cultural event which involves high number of visitors to the island, and you will need to support the organising team in areas such as logistics, operations and safety aspects of the event.
Responsibilities » Be responsible for the operations of a campsite including cleaning, maintenance, check-in/out and to ensure responsible use / reinstatement of buildings and facilities of the campsite, and manage the campers including manning 24-7 hotline for campers' enquiries.
» Be part of the operations team to assist in conducting inspections, detect and recommend improvements or repairs where necessary, contact with and supervise term contractors (e.g. vector control, grass-cutting, cleaning) to ensure that they fulfill their contractual obligations, and assess the term contractors' performance regularly for verification of payment due.
Requirements » Background in Facilities/ Estates/ Hospitality Management or equivalent with at least 5 years of significant practice
» Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal expertise
» Tech savvy and capability to think out-of-the-box.
» Required to work at offshore islands, and one weekend per week.
» availability to execute hands-on work involving minor maintenance when required, with guidance.
» Working practice in managing campsites and chalets will be an advantage.
