Job description: JOB DESCRIPTION The capability to plan the practices of manufacturing; to research and to develop tools, processes, machines and equipment; and to integrate the facilities and systems for producing quality product with the optimum expenditure of capital.
Manufacturing or Production Engineer's primary focus is to turn Raw Material into an Updated product or a New Product in the most effective, efficient & economic way possible.
- Prepare production and inspection processes
- Support production activities
- contact with other departments on the delivery requirement of customer orders
- Lead, prepare and implement First Article part process including documentation package.
- Provide guidance and support in milling, turning, grinding and honing machining processes to operators.
- Lead and manage continuous improvement to reduce cycle time.
- Design machine fixtures for casting processes.
- contact with QA department to resolve any non-compliance to ensure satisfactory corrective actions.
- Implementation and streamlining of production process to improve productivity.
- Perform other ad-hoc tasks assigned from time to time
The ideal candidate should possess the following: - Diploma / Degree in Precision / Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 1-2 years of working practice in manufacturing environment preferred
- Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point)
- capability to multi-tasks and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines
- expertise in SAP is an advantage
- Strong analytical, problem solving and communication expertise (verbal and written – In English and Chinese) (in order to contact with the Chinese speaking associates)
- Good communication and interpersonal skill
