• Design Engineering and an opportunity to be responsible for the technical and engineering elements of design and new product development phase
• Conceptualize, design and develop mechanical system pertaining to new development of AGV system

Primary role

• Product Design and Development, Design for manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA) and Concurrent Engineering.

Technical responsibilities

• Generate and maintain detail fabrication, design calculations and assembly drawings, prepare technical reports and documentation.
• Responsible for mechanical/electro-mechanical component selection, material selection, tolerance analysis and system integration.
• Validation of design and develop testing protocols to ensure mechanical systems works to customers or business specification requirements

Experience and skills

• Proficiency in Mechanical Design Software, preferably Solidworks (others like Catia, Pro-E, Autodesk Inventor, Solid Edge are also an advantage)
• Good understanding in mechanical fabrication processes such as Sheetmetal works and CNC machining
• Good working knowledge in Application of analysis tools like Failure Mode and Effects analysis (FMEA), Design of Experiment (DOE), Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Process strong technical knowledge and fundamentals on Mechanics and Material
• Good understanding in Geometric dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T), Stack up tolerance Analysis

Academic Background

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field.
