About Our Client: Our Client is an International MNC that manufactures medical devices to increase the quality of life of patients worldwide. Due to their rapid growth and commitment towards quality, product and innovation in the medical device industry, they are currently looking for a R&D Electrical Engineer (Medical Device) to support all electrical engineering activities for new product development programs including design, preparing documentation and implementation for both released and new products into the market.
Main Duties & Responsibilities: Reporting to the R&D team leader , you will be responsible for the technical and engineering elements of the new product development projects to ensure the content meets customers’ specification. You are responsible for product related electronic hardware design activities. You design, develop, prototype, and test the required subsystem and its interface to the system. Other key reponsiblities invlue creating Design History File and conduct system implementation and testing. You are responsible for any electrical engineering related areas for succesful new product development. You will build relationships with third party suppliers to enable smooth implementation of new products. You ensure identification, generation of equipment and funding and efficient transfer throughout the project. You are experienced in product design and product development to support new product development by providing relevant electrical engineering expertise. You work closely with the team to plan and execute engineering activities required for a new product development and work within the regulatory requirements of ISO 13485 and FDA.
Candidate Profile: You must have an Electrical Engineering Degree with a minimum of 7-8 years’ experience in a medical device industry or any regulated industry. You have knowledge of regulatory for electrical medical devices including compliance and IEC 60601/ IEC 61508. You have good background in product design and in design control. You also have experience in new product development in the medical device industry. You have proven experience in solving complex engineering problems and experience in EMC compatibility and electricity safety testing
