- Managing 3 outlets - everyday operations
- practice running a food production team in large hotels and catering companies
- practice of processing of pastry-related products (ice-cream, soft-serves, pastry)
- 6 days work week / 9 hours everyday (include 1 hour lunch break)
Job Description Pastry Production Manager is involved in the everyday operations and manages the processing of pastry-related products (ice-cream, soft-serves, pastry), machinery and processes involved in pastry production.
tasks: - supervise the everyday operations of food production, responsible for activities to ensure opening, closing and everyday procedures are completed.
- Responsible for orientation and training of employees in all aspects of production (including organizing of significant training sessions) in order to allow managerial flexibility in times of worker absences or vacations.
- Responsible for coordinating shifts, arranging production schedules, and monitoring employee performance & efficiency.
- Ensure that production processes run reliably and efficiently.
- Ensure that production meets safety, sanitation, risk management policies and quality standards set by the company.
- Maintain and determine quality control standards.
- Review manufacturing processes for efficiency, propose improvement and researching alternative machinery, equipment, or modifications.
- Incorporate lean manufacturing systems.
- Submit everyday log after the completion of the production work.
- Monthly production report on wastage and usage.
- Make regular hazard assessments.
- Weekly ordering of supplies for food production.
- Organizing the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment.
- Liaising with buyers, marketing and sales staff to assess demand.
The ideal candidate: - practice managing pastry products such as cakes, bread and desserts
- Possess strong background in safety and sanitation compliance.
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities skills, managery skills as well as capability to work collaboratively in past working practices.
- Has the capability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service.
- Demonstrate capability to prioritize tasks and is flexible to take on additional responsibilities when required.
- Proficient in computer skills and has prior practice in report management.
