Main Responsibilities: - Proof of concept / experimentation on solution design for data strategy
- Design and development of new components based on Python / Java
- Collaborating with remote development teams to build a global team for the platform
- Participating in code reviews across all areas of the team
- Providing Level 3 local support where necessary
- Actively works to embed the cultural values and beliefs which the domain has defined as key into our delivery profile
Job Requirements: - Strong Python or Java Programming experience
- Ideally some experience in UI development (HTML5, Angular, React)
- Practical experience of test driven development and constant refactoring in Continuous Integration (CI) environment
- Behavior Driven Development, particularly experience of collaboration with teams to define requirements, building the right things and create living documentation
- Experience of working in an Agile Development team practicing (SCRUM), KANBAN, XP or SAFe (Scaled Agile) delivery methodology concepts
- Preferably a background in financial services (ideally Finance / Investment banking) but not mandatory.
