Position Description

Background: The successful candidate will be joining the Fixed Income Currencies and Commodities technology team, which has a proven track record of delivering critical low-latency front-office pricing / trading solutions to the FICC businesses. The candidate will be working in the eFX technology team, helping to build and deploy multi-tier, high availability systems that are deployed globally.

The current team structure is global, spread over London, Singapore and the US. As a group, we communicate at all levels within the organization.

We are looking to hire a senior tester having hands on experience in test planning, executing and delivering high quality software. Knowledge of any of the following business areas encompassing FX cash and FX Vanilla Options is desired. The candidate will be experienced in working with an agile delivery model and be good at communicating with other QA members both in EMEA and the US as part of a global team.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of test scripts based on system specifications
• Analytical testing of changes to FX trading platform
• Review test results and communicate test execution status to stakeholders
• Building automated tests for regression testing
• Help with support queries and reproducing production issues in test environment
• Work with global testing team to improve efficiency of testing processes
• Build metrics to measure testing coverage and defect density

Key Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in structured QA and testing of mission critical software systems
• Minimum 2 year of QA experience in the financial industry with electronic FX front-office technologies
• Experience in creating test artifacts with minimum requirements and ensures they are complete, correct, unique, precise, bounded, non-ambiguous, and testable
• Hands on experience in planning and executing different types of testing and ability to quickly turn around any urgent testing requirements
• Basic knowledge in SQL, Scripting (Shell/Python)
• Good knowledge in QA Process and strategies
• Experience in working as a team and ability to express / share the knowledge gathered during testing and document appropriately
• The candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• In addition to the testing role that the candidate is involved he/she should also have the ability to understand and explain the functions and requirements of the system under test

Desired Skills

• Business domain knowledge in FX and/or FX Options.
• Good knowledge in test methodologies and tools such as UFT, ALM, JIRA.
• Experience in design and building an QA automation framework
