JOB DESCRIPTION PURPOSE OF THE function

» To take care of AFA product management & research and in-house sales training

PRODUCT MANAGEMENT & RESEARCH:

» Conduct comprehensive due diligence for insurance products and recommend them to the Product Committee for approval on suitcapability for Life Distribution clients

» Monitor & update products on the AFA Approved Product/Fund List – in the event of changes to the products or related regulations, as well as any customer campaigns and product promotions by the business partners. Prompt action is required in the dissemination of such information to the advisers.

» Build a strong relationship with the business partners to ensure that our staff and advisers are able to get good support in order to conduct our businesses smoothly.

» Monitor & update the Product Comparison Table by evaluating and updating the various significant products’ benefits, features & limitations.

» Keep abreast of insurance products updates by providing timely recommendations and research development to the Head of Training & Product.

TRAINING:

» Conduct presentations and educational programs involving market news, statistics, product comparisons and sales concepts for the type of products in scope.

» Provide training to ensure the representatives meet the annual CPD requirement (including all compulsory training)

» supervise the onboarding pre-RNF training requirements (i.e. CMFAS tutorials, compulsory product training etc …) as well as post-RNF competence requirements.

» Support Training Head in Developing a robust and detailed sales curriculum – covering needs of sales rep with different levels of skills

» Design selling skills workshops when the need arises.

» In charge of sales workshops

» Support AFA representatives annual CPD requirement (including all compulsory training)

» AFA Representatives are adequately trained in sales advisory process.

» Conducts product and fund due diligence to review onboarding of product/funds into AFA

» Continuous assessment and review on practiccapability of products in AFA

COMPLIANCE & AUDIT:

» Implements and update of documents in relation to the use of all insurance products in conformity with MAS’ Fair Dealing Guidelines and regulations

» Ensure proper disclosure of product information in marketing collaterals / brochures / articles, etc and are in conformity to regulator’s guidelines.

» Assist Compliance Team in investigation arising from customer complaints regarding misrepresentation of products by Adviser, when required.

» Maintain good documentation for audit checks.

SYSTEMS AND CONTROLS

» Administrate TMS / SmartUp / TestMoz systems.

» Update the Approved Product List

» (APL) and Approved Fund List (AFL)

QUALIFICATIONS

» Degree-holder

» Pass CMFAS M9, M9A, M5, CHI, M8, M8A

» CFP or ChFC qualifications (added advantage)

» At least 5-6 years working practice as a trainer/product person in a financial industry

» Possesses strong business acumen and aptitude towards insurance / investment

» Familiar with Training / Learning Management systems (TMS / LMS)

» Able to utilize modern learning methodologies (e.g. e-learning, micro-learning)

» Able to create content for e-learning (e.g. Micro/bite-size learning)

» Good expertise of Microsoft applications, such as, Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
