JOB DESCRIPTION Requirements:
» Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree / Professional Degree in Law or equivalent.
» At least 5 Year(s) of working practice is required, preferably as a Senior Executive specialized in Law / Legal Services or equivalent.
Listing description
- Make recommendations to senior management on how to respond to legal issues or proposed changes in laws and regulations.
- Review and approve legal contracts, letters of agreement, and other documents related to a variety of trade, commercial, financial, and operational matters.
- Maintain the organization‘s official and legal documents according to the principles of good governance and to comply with significant laws and regulations.
- Responsible for compliance activities which could include reviewing internal processes, internal control procedures, documents and reports, and ensuring that the operations of the company business comply with internal and external regulatory framework or compliance standards.
- Manage continuing relationships with insurance providers to minimise insurance costs and ensure satisfactory level of service.
- Research, interpret, and analyse proposed changes to regulations or government policy and prepare reports on how these changes may impact the organization.
Minimum Appropriate qualifications:
- Degree in law and qualified to practice Singapore law with 5 years PQE.
- practice in private practice and as in-house counsel.
- Team player who is able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Pro-active and independent attitude with results-oriented approach.
- Able to handle disputes, claims, tenancies and corporate secretarial tasks.
- Able to provide significant stakeholders with accurate and timely legal advice and information.
- Broad spectrum of practice in commercial agreements and transactions
- Fluency in English required; foreign language expertise desirable, especially Mandarin and other regional languages
