1. User Consent

By registering as a User and/or submitting Personal Data through our Website or Services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy and you expressly consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your Personal Data and Anonymous Data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

2. How we store your personal data

Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features in order to prevent unauthorized access. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

If you have any questions about how we store and use data collected which relates to you, please contact us at [email protected]

3. Information we may collect from you

We may collect and process the following types of information about you:

“Personal Data” refers to data that allows someone to identify or contact you, including for example your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, as well as any other non-public information about you that is associated with or linked to any of the relevant data. “Anonymous Data” means data that is not associated with or linked to your Personal Data, and does not by itself allow the identification of individuals. Examples include device type, IP or MAC address, and actions taken through the Website such as page views, clicks, shares, dates and times of usage, etc. We collect Personal and Anonymous Data, as described below:

A. Information You Enter When You Use The Site
  • We may collect Personal Data from you, such as your first and last name, location, phone number, e-mail addresses, demographic information such as gender or ethnicity, employment history, education history, personal summary, and password when you create an account (“Account”) with Great Fit.
  • Specifically if you are a Candidate, information relating to your employment history, skills and experience that you upload to the Website, as well as profile photos, links to your social profiles and other publicly available information that we may collect through a third party service.
  • Specifically if you are a Client (a Company or Employer), information regarding job openings (Jobs) and other details regarding your organization and its personnel.
  • We may retain information on your behalf, such as files and messages that you store using your Account.
  • If you contact us via e-mail, we may collect your name and e-mail address, as well as any other content included in the e-mail, in order to address your issue and send you a reply.
  • When you post content (text, images, photographs, messages, comments or any other kind of content that is not your e-mail address) on our Website, the information contained in your posting will be stored in our servers and other users may be able to see it, along with your profile photo and any other information that you choose to make public on your public profile page (“Profile”). The information that you provide in your Profile will be visible to others, especially potential employers or employees, so in the event you do not want any particular information shared please do not enter it in our Website.
  • If you participate in one of our surveys or contests, we may collect additional profile information.
  • We may also collect Personal Data at other points in our Website that state that Personal Data is being collected.
B. Information You Provide To Social Networks

If you choose to register or sign in to Great Fit through Facebook or Linkedin, or another Social Network that we support, you will first be asked to enter your credentials for the relevant social network and then be given the option to register for Great Fit. In this case, we may receive information from that Social Network to expedite your creation of an Account on our Website. Any information that we collect from your Social Network account may depend on the privacy settings you have with that Social Network, so please consult the respective Social Network’s privacy and data practices.

C. Information We Collect Through Our Site
  • To make our Website and Services more useful to you, our servers (which may be hosted by a third party service provider) collect information from you, including your browser type, operating system, Internet Protocol (“IP”) address (a number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you use the Internet, which may vary from session to session), domain name, and/or a date/time stamp for your visit.
  • Like many websites and apps we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information may include traffic data, location data, IP addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (“ISP”), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data, including details of all actions that you carry out through the Website, resources you access, and communications made in the provision of services to you. We use this information to analyze trends, administer the Website, track usage of the Website, gather demographic information about our user base as a whole, and better tailor our Services to our Users’ needs. For example, some of the information may be collected so that when you visit the Website or use the Services again, Great Fit will recognize you and serve information appropriate to your interests. Except as noted in this Privacy Policy, we do not link this Anonymous Data to Personal Data.
  • Like most online services, we use cookies to collect information. “Cookies” are small pieces of information that a website sends to your computer’s hard drive while you are viewing the website. We may use both session Cookies (which expire once you close your web browser) and persistent Cookies (which stay on your computer until you delete them) to provide you with a more personal and interactive experience on our Website. This type of information is collected to make the Website more useful to you and to tailor the experience with us to meet your special interests and needs.
  • In addition, we may use “Pixel Tags” (also referred to as clear Gifs, Web beacons, or Web bugs). Pixel Tags are tiny graphic images with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, that are used to track online movements of Web users. In contrast to Cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, Pixel Tags are embedded invisibly in Web pages. Pixel Tags also allow us to send e-mail messages in a format users can read, and they tell us whether e-mails have been opened to ensure that we are sending only messages that are of interest to our users. We may use this information to reduce or eliminate messages sent to a user. We do not tie the information gathered by Pixel Tags to our users’ Personal Data.
  • We use Google Analytics to help analyze how users use the Website. Google Analytics uses Cookies to collect information such as how often users visit the Website, what pages they visit, and what other sites they used prior to coming to the Website. We use the information we get from Google Analytics to improve our Website and Services. Google Analytics collects only the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit the Website, rather than your name or other personally identifying information. Although Google Analytics plants a persistent Cookie on your web browser to identify you as a unique user the next time you visit the Website, the Cookie cannot be used by anyone but Google. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to the Website is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Use and the Google Privacy Policy.
D. Information Provided By You About Others

If you refer a third party to a job or company, or invite someone to create an Account, we will collect your and the third party’s names and e-mail addresses in order to send an e-mail and follow up with the third party. We rely upon you to obtain whatever consent from the third party may be required by law to allow us to access and upload the third party’s names and e-mail addresses as required above. You or the third party may contact us at [email protected] to request the removal of this information from our database. Also, when you invite friends to Great Fit, we may ask for access to your Address Book to import your contacts’ names and phone numbers in order to facilitate the invitation. We also collect some settings that help us to interpret your data, such as the language and keyboard settings that you have established.

We do not store any passwords you provide as part of the contact import process.

If we or substantially all of our assets are acquired by a third party, Personal Data held by us about our customers may be one of the transferred assets.

Specifically if you are a Candidate, we make your details available to third party Client organizations (Companies and Employers) to whom you apply for Jobs for the purposes of evaluation for job vacancies, as may be submitted by you and in accordance with our Terms and Conditions of Use; As an essential element of the Services, most of the Personal Data you explicitly provide to us when you register or update your Profile is displayed on your Profile to our Client network. You should operate with the understanding that any content or materials you provide to Great Fit, including your name and photos, are also meant for public consumption. We may display this content on the Website and further distribute it to a wider audience through third party sites and services. Once displayed on publicly viewable web pages, that information can be collected and used by others. We cannot control who reads your profile or what other users may do with the information that you voluntarily post, so it is critically important that you do not put Personal Data if you are uncomfortable with it possibly being made public. Once you have posted information publicly, while you will still be able to edit and delete it on the Website, you will not be able to edit or delete such information cached, collected, and stored elsewhere by others (e.g., search engines).

Receipt of a written request by you to us, where you request in writing that your personal information is not used to enhance the information that we process about you on a Client’s behalf, then such enhanced information will not be provided by us to the Client.

Any request by you to us to delete your personal information will not result in deletion of any application submitted by you to a Client (in respect of which we are a data processor and not a data controller). If you require a Client to delete an application, or any other information provided by you to the Client directly, you must contact the Client company to request such deletion.

6. Third Party Websites

Great Fit may contain links to and from the websites of our partner networks, client companies, advertisers, and affiliates, or may email you links to and from those same websites. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and terms of use and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies and terms of use.
